I want to thank you again for giving me the opportunity to capture gorgeous photographs of this special event. It’s heartwarming to know that individuals like yourself relate to my style and see something special in it.
I might not be able to stop time but I am able to capture the present moment. These photographs will allow you to feel and remember such a important celebration in your life. My aim is to capture every honest, organic moment, leaving you with images that evoke emotion long after the moment has gone.
I look forward to communicating with you in preparation for your event.
So you're probably asking yourself, 'What now?' Let me answer that with a bunch of information that will hopefully answer any questions you may have about your upcoming photoshoot.
BEFORE YOUR EVENT
You have accessed this link through an email confirming your booking date and that your deposit has been received. If you haven't already, you will also receive an email with a link to my contract that you can e-sign so we don't have any messy paper work. Got to love the wonders of the internet, right?
Below is a questionnaire I kindly ask you to fill in. It will only take you a few minutes but it will provide me with all the necessary information for your event as well as allowing me to get to know you and what you are truly wanting captured.
About a week before your photoshoot, I will email you again just to check in and confirm the location, time and date once more. It's a great chance to have any further questions answered or to get any worries off your chest. I'm also here if you would prefer to chat over the phone - tell me a time that best suits you and I'll get in touch.
The day before your shoot, I'll get in touch via email again to confirm the time, give you my phone number and check your event is still going ahead as planned.
AT THE EVENT
At the event itself, I'll have a plan in place from our previous discussions and will get started straight away. You will be my primary contact if I need any questions answered. I understand selecting a photographer is a very personal process and you and your guests want to feel comfortable with me behind the camera. There will be times where I will have stepped right back to take photos from afar so you can just enjoy the moment at this event for what it is. Other times, I'll provide you with some verbal cues and suggestions to show the connection you share with those surrounding you and to ensure I provide you with photos you'll absolutely love.
AFTER YOUR SHOOT
I'll have your photos ready for you to view in a private online gallery within two weeks after your shoot. However, I like to give you a little sneak peek before then so keep an eye on your inbox.
Once you have access to your gallery, you'll be able to download all of your images straight to your computer or device as high resolution files (for printing) and low resolution (for sharing online). If you like, please fell free to share this gallery with others that attended the event so they are able to download images they love too. I'll also check in a few days after your gallery is released to make sure everything was downloaded successfully and to find our how you felt about the service I provided.
Currently, I'm only providing digital images but I plan providing an online store for purchasing items including prints and USBs in the near future. In the meantime, please consider your photos as an investment into your family's history. They’re telling your story. Photography is just like any other form of art. These images are meant to be shared and proudly displayed in your home. When printing your images, please consider the quality of your prints and select a printing provider wisely – it makes a huge difference to the colours and longevity of your photographs.
How do you select which images go into the gallery?
There are lots of factors in selecting the right images for your online gallery. In short, I select the images that best represent you, the attendees at your event and me as an artist. You will have a lot of variety to choose from.
Retouching - do you do it?
If I see something that really shouldn't be in the shot, like a fly on your face, I'll edit it out. Unfortunately, things like little scratches, bra straps or runny noses can take an extremely long time to edit, particularly when they have the potential of being in every shot. For editing such as this, additional fees do apply so I encourage you to keep an eye on these things throughout the shoot (and if I see anything, I'll try to let you know too).
If you're wondering whether I'll do a little chin or tummy tuck.... NOPE! You and your guests are beautiful just the way you are. Simple as that! We can all be a little self conscious at times. But trust me, when you look back at your photos over the many years to come, you won't be focusing on how you looked. You'll just remember the moment and the emotions that accompanied it.
WAIT! I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS!
